Congratulations on your engagement! If you are planning a wedding in Princeton, New Jersey, The Peacock Inn is the perfect venue for all of your wedding-related needs.
Planning a wedding reception in Princeton for less than 100 guests? We have a truly spectacular setting — a completely renovated 18th-century colonial mansion on a tree-lined street in historic downtown Princeton. Inside, the color palette is a mixture of warm browns and grays and the style is elegant, sophisticated, and chic. And the entire Inn can be yours!
The intimate dining rooms blend elegance, comfort, and romance. The walls showcase prized artwork, murals, and menus from the 1930’s, some of which were discovered behind cement walls in the basement of this historic building. One such mural depicts John Von Neumann, the famed Princeton mathematician driving a car while reading a book. The ceiling in the main part of the dining room is also quite unique — with hundreds of tiny white lights.
Whether you choose to host a brunch, luncheon, cocktail reception, or sit-down dinner, your menu at The Peacock Inn will be nothing short of spectacular! Our restaurant is known for its gourmet cuisine — a true departure from many of the large-scale country clubs and catering houses, which don’t have the attention to detail and true culinary palate that we do. In fact, our Chef Manuel Perez trained under celebrity chef Eric Ripert at Le Bernardin in New York City! His “New American” cuisine is receiving rave reviews and he will be happy to sit down and work with you to design a wedding feast that represents your style and tastes, and also fits within your budget.
With 16 spectacular guest rooms, you can house your out-of-town wedding guests here at The Peacock Inn, of course, leaving our romantic Jacuzzi Suite for your first night together as husband and wife! Many couples choose to reserve the entire Inn — whether they have their wedding reception with us or not — because it provides a warm, welcoming family atmosphere where everyone can be together during this exciting celebratory weekend!
Additionally, if you need a place to host an engagement party, you can also rent out the restaurant, and we have smaller rooms for the shower and rehearsal dinner. Our Peacock Alley meeting space on the lower level, which used to be a Speakeasy way back in the day, can also accommodate 22 people and features stunning hand-painted murals by local artist Lisa Walsh of Princeton area scenes.
As experts in the Princeton wedding scene, we can also work with you on recommendations for Princeton’s finest purveyors of flowers, entertainment, decorations, audio/visual equipment, photography, and more. All you need to do is ask for our list of preferred vendors in Princeton.
